i got my email hacked by a guy.
im trying to get it back but its really hard and i cant seem to find out how i can get it back.
he changed my security question and my "backup" email so i cant use any of those.
this email is a "hotmail" and its really important to get back.
please help me.

Tried everything listed here, lots of the links don't open and I still cannot get access to my hotmail account....technology isnt my strong point.....

If you can't get into your hotmail after exhausting all of the suggestions above, you should consider getting a gmail account. If you do get a gmail account, do not set it up without making sure you do the two step verification. Make sure you always keep your alternate email or phone number up to date also. That is very important. If you have the two step verification in place, you will always have something to fall back on to get back into it if someone tries to hack you.

I contacted Microsoft Australia and they sent an email to a technical dept, they said they'd sort it but I had another go at the verification form, filled in lots of info that I could remember and that worked....

As for customer service, crap !

Like most things Internet, great when working but really hard to resolve when drama hits.

Hi,

I have some trouble with my hotmail account.
When I try to log in it says:
"It looks like someone else might be using your account"

I read all this Thread and many others to try to fix the problem with automatic ways but I can't. I tried with the form, but I created my account like 8 years ago or more and I can't remember the information needed. What can I do??? HELP please!!

My hotmail address is {removed-for-privacy}@hotmail.com

I tried the other links you send me, but it all requires me to log in to my current adress, but I am unable to do so...

Did you get anywhere with 1.800.386.5550?

Please ask them for the best email address to send the answers to these questions (and let everyone else know the new best answer)

· The Impacted Email Address you are inquiring about
· Country
· State/Region
· Postal Code
· Account Creation date (mm-yyyy)
· Last successful sign in date
· Last time you change the password
· Location from where the account was created
· Alternate email address added to the account
· Contacts (email address format, at least 5, you can also include email address were you sent or received an email)
· Email Subject Lines Sent (subject of emails that you sent, at least 4)
· Email Subject Lines Received (subject of emails that you received, at least 4)
· Folders that you created (at least 4)
The secret to passing our validation process is to provide as much information as possible. For items like email folders, contacts and mail subjects, provide 3 or 4 answers (multiple/possible answers) instead of just one.
Also, you may have registered your account using different pieces of information. Please try to provide as many answers as possible so that we can cross reference such information with our system records.

nah, never tried it, i just typed into google, "microsoft australia phone number"

gave them a call, got email back fairly quickly..

I am in Australia(obviously) so never tried the american 1800 numbers.

I am trying to recover my fathers email from hotmail it was linked to his yahoo, we can get the code but the problem is he forgot his hotmail address. How can i recover it. Dont ask me how we forgot it. Plain simple he hasnt used it in a while. We are just trying to recover it for him.

I had my email hacked a while back ago. I couldn't get back in the account. As you know emails delete when it hasn't been active. I know there is no way I can retrieve my old files but can I get the same email again?

Hi, I see this forum is not too recent, my problem is that I have outlook but had to keep windows live mail because of one of my hotmail accounts only works there, however,
I receive and send emails from it, I forgot the password, and I would like to set this account in outlook but I can't, and I don't
want to messy with the until now working windows live mail, is there a way to transfer this email account from windows live mail to outlook? I have windows 7 but office 365.
