If you are tired of Yahoo problems such as pages not loading and need an alternate way to send & receive your Yahoo Mail, try using a mail problem on your computer such as Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird.

Configuring Yahoo in Windows Live Mail (WLM) is easy, but requires a manual setup because WLM still has a bug that states only paid accounts can use POP3 or IMAP server settings to access Yahoo Mail.

First, open Windows Live Mail, then go to the File menu, select Options, and click Email Accounts:

Next, click the Add button, then Email Account, then click Next:

Type in your Yahoo email address and password. It is critical that you check the box for "manually configure server settings" or you'll get setup with info provided by Microsoft.

On the server settings screen change POP to IMAP, use imap.mail.yahoo.com & smtp.mail.yahoo.com, both with SSL configured:

Please triple check that you have typed the above server names and checked the boxes correctly.

After clicking Finish, depending on the size of your mailbox, it may take several minutes or longer for your email to sync with your computer.
