I have a motorola hint phone and am unable to send email through my embarq email account. I can receive email, but can't send it. When I used another email account (my business account) I was able to send email through that one, but not through the embarq account.
Yes, I do have smtp enabled. I have everything exactly like my son does on his phone (different phone though) and it still won't send anything. Just says "connection failure".
Have you considered forwarding your email to Gmail or having Gmail pop your Embarq email account? You could also use the Gmail servers for sending email From: your embarq email address.
