For the last 4 days each time I receive an email, I get two copies of it in my inbox, I need help in determining what can cause this. I use Windows Mail in Vista. Thanks in advance for any help offered.
If you were experiencing network timeouts you could get duplicates, but that would most likely be intermittent and not a problem for every email. A form of network timeout could be your local anti virus software.
Do you have any message rules or filters that are causing the duplicate messages?
If you check your email from the web page instead of Windows Live mail client do you still see duplicates in your inbox?
Hi Popowich, Thanks for your response. I tried adjusting the timeout time in email settings, that didn't help,k I don't have any message rules currently. So far I can't figure out how to turn off my AV (McAfee), but I am working on it. Once again, Thank You for your response to my questions.
