There are a few steps to try including: Verify that a mail rule or message filter isn't duplicating the email Verify that you did not create a mail forwarding w/ copy loop between two or more email accounts Increase your mail server timeout settings Increase your virus scanner timeout settings Delete and recreate the account in your email program
