New Email
I would like to know why On Dec.27th, 2008 at 9:15 PM central time I received an Email from a neighbor across town and the time stated it
was sent Monday Dec. 28 at 8:00 AM. This happens all the time how can it be?

Re: Time

Hi Dottie,

There are a couple reasons why this may be happening including:

  • The clock on either your computer or your neighbors computer is set incorrectly
  • The timezone on either your computer or your neighbors computer is set incorrectly
  • The clock or timezone on your ISP's mail server is set incorrectly
  • The timezone in the mail program used to to send or read the email is set incorrectly
If you reply with the full email headers from one of the emails I can help you find out where the problem is.
