New Email
Hi, I'm in need of some information about e-mail rights.
Situation: A company uses an auto-reply from within their Customer Service software, to let a customer know what the ticket number is of their question or report.
The software is set up, to use the e-mail address of the customer as the 'from' address in this reply.
So the customer actually recieves an auto-reply from him-/herself.
Question: Is this legally allowed, or are companies legally bound to use either a standard no-reply address or (for instance) the e-mail address to which the customer sent their question or report?
Thanks
