Hello,
When replying to an e-mail please do not top post. Top posting makes e-mail threads confusing and difficult to understand.
It is best to trim the quoted parts of the e-mail down to the relevant information and put your comments underneath them.
The following is an example of top posting. It is the wrong way to reply to an e-mail.
OK, sounds good!
>>How about 10:00pm tonight?
>>>> the mail server!
>>>>>> Which server?
>>>>>>>> When should we reboot the server?
This following is an example of bottom posting.
It is easier to read the thread from start to finish, top to bottom like you are reading a book or a piece of paper:
>>>>>>>> When should we reboot the server?
>>>>>> Which server?
>>>> the mail server!
>>How about 10:00pm tonight?
OK, sounds good!
As you can see, the second example makes more sense, especially if you are joining the conversation late.
