Tips for migrating from Google Apps to Office 365

If you are migrating from Google Apps for Business to Office 365 there are some issues you will want to consider and plan for.

The first tip is that labels are not folders.

You might want to consider using the IMAP Tools for copying email from Google Apps to Office 365 to preserve your users folder structure.

 

There is a 32767 character limit on file names in Google Drive, while the Office 365 Drive limits file names to 256 characters.

A plan such as fixing long file names should be made before migrating.
