It is not difficult to send an anonymous e-mail or use a different From: address from your regular account. All you need to do is change the From: and Reply-to: addresses in the account settings within the mail program that you are using. Please keep in mind that that your e-mail will not be totally anonymous. Your IP address and other information will be recorded by the mail servers you send the e-mail through and all other mail servers that handle the e-mail on it's way to and at the delivery server.
