hotmail blocked forgot password maybe hacked

I locked my hotmail account by typing in the wrong password several times. I am not sure if I forgot the password or maybe it was hacked and I had no chance of typing in the right password. There are several important emails in this acocunt that I still need to reply. Please help me out.
