By default Microsoft Outlook uses semi-colons ";" instead of commas "," to separate email addresses when composing an email.
To allow the use of commas like most other email programs please follow these steps :
First, go to the Tools menu and select Options :
Then click the Email Options button, followed by clicking the and the Advanced E-Mail Options button :
Last, check the box for Allow comma as address separator :
Click OK a few times to close out the options windows and you are done!
