By default Microsoft Outlook uses semi-colons ";" instead of commas "," to separate email addresses when composing an email.

To allow the use of commas like most other email programs please follow these steps :

First, go to the Tools menu and select Options :
    Microsoft Outlook Tools Options.JPG
Then click the Email Options button, followed by clicking the and the Advanced E-Mail Options button :
    Email Options Advanced Email Options.JPG
Last, check the box for Allow comma as address separator :
Microsoft Outlook Allow Comma as Address Separator.JPG
Click OK a few times to close out the options windows and you are done!
