How to access Windows Live Hotmail with a Sprint Palm Pre

Hello,

Here are the settings from a fellow Palm Pre user for setting it up to access a Windows Live Hotmail email account:

• Mail type: POP
• Incoming Mail Server: pop3.live.com
• Username: your full email address
• Password: your password
• Port #: 995
• Encryption: SSL
• Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.live.com
• Use Authentication: ON
  • username: your full email address
  • password: your password
  • Port #: 25
  • Encryption: TLS

I did everything and for the most part it worked, but it says that the out going isnt working anymore and i might not be able to email out. What should i do?

Hello,

Did it work and then stop working, or did it never work at all?

Try double checking all of your settings and that settings are correct such as your full email address as the username in the outgoing mail server settings.

If all else fails you can contact Sprint and get a username and password so you can use smtp.sprintpcs.com as your outgoing email smtp server.
