First I am happy with what you DID so I don't request or wish any change. My current avatar, for instance, is quite correct, it is a photo of mine recent enough.
What I stressed is that the profile is the responsibility of its owner; all rights to set or change it should be granted to him, totally and with no delay or restraint at all; and no rights at all should be left to anyone else. When a site limits the user's power onto HIS identity, that site helps others' power to falsify the information, here or elsewhere. So, when a site IMPOSES to an user an avatar FOR HIMSELF, or when a site restrains THE USER's power to change HIS identity, this is an efficient and powerful help to falsifiers, of course conscious (none can be ignoring this is wrong while doing it), no matter the persons doing it are on their own or forced by an external superior force.
