Do not check for new email when starting Windows Live Mail

Hello,

If you are anything like me you might have a few accounts configured across several email programs. Maybe you like to evaluate different email programs. Maybe you prefer to keep different sets of accounts and contacts groups together in separate places. If you do not want Windows Live Mail to check all of your configured email accounts when it starts up please follow these directions :


  • Click the Blue Button in the top left
  • Select Options
  • Click Mail

  • Go to the General tab
  • Uncheck the box for send and receive messages at startup

  • Click Apply and then click OK
