Sending / Receiving reported error: “Outlook data file cannot be accessed (error 8004010F)”

If you are getting error 8004010F please check your Account Settings.

Try removing the data files and adding them again, or changing the path to your data files.

These are the steps to locate your Microsoft Outlook data files:

1. Click Start, select Settings, then select Control Panel
2. In the control panel double click Mail
3. Click Show Profiles
4. Select your current Outlook profile, then click Properties
5. Click Data Files
6. Select the Data Files tab in the Account Settings dialog box
7. Save (write it down, screen shot, etc) the name and location of the default data file for your profile
8. Click Close

It could also be a permissions issue that can be fixed with these steps from Microsoft.
