I am with BTYahoo mail and keep getting spam from a viagra site in Canada. I foolishly clicked on 'unsubscribe' which was a false link. How do I block their spam as although the 'from' is showing a name (unknown to me) when I hover my mouse over it, it shows my email address. I have already managed to block myself!!! and had to undo that, but this site is driving me nuts with its spam.
    Thankyou,
    Ruth

    Hello,

If you login to your account and go to the mail options you can block an email address in the spam section.

Have you tried to block the sender with the spam filters?

    Hi
Thanks for your reply. This is the trouble how do I find their email address. In 'From' there is a name I don't know, but when I hover my mouse over it to see the email address it shows my own email address. These same posts always change names in 'From' so I can't seem to filter it either.

I was wondering if anyone knows how I find out the email address of the originator.

    Thanks,
    Ruth

    Hi Ruth,

I see. You are correct, if they are forging the From: and setting it to your email address you will not be able to block it that way. Please use the following guide to get the full email headers and I'll help submit an abuse report to Yahoo for you to try and get the emails blocked.
