Hi I need help to open my Hotmail inbox.
When I enter the sign in screen for Hotmail, it displays a blank white screen.
This is quite frustrating,as i am able to access all my other mail accouts at gmail etc
and even the MSN homepage, but not the mail page

RE: DivX web player conflict with IE8:

If you have the problem in IE8... click "Tools", "Internet Options", "Programs" tab, in "manage add-ons", disable "DivX Plus Web Player HTML5 <video>" close web browser and retry.

Thank you very much for the fix. I was going nuts trying to fix the problem. I had installed DviX on my desktop and laptop and couldn't log in to hotmail on either. I wish I had found your answer before the other "help" I got that cost me $70 for spybot and smiss neither of which helped.:thanks::yay::thanks:

WE HAVE JUST FOUND A SIMPLE SOLUTION ON THIS SITE FOR GETTING OUR HOTMAIL BACK. THE PROBLEM WE HAD WAS THAT WE COULDN'T GET THE HOTMAIL LOG IN PAGE TO OPEN, IT JUST HAD A BLANK WHITE PAGE. THE SOLUTION WAS TO DISABLE DIVX PLUS WEB PLAYER IN INTERNET OPTIONS AND EVERYTHING WAS IMMEDIATELY OK. IT SEEMS THERE IS A CONFLICT BETWEEN DIVX PLUS WEB PLAYER AND HOTMAIL.
HOWEVER BEFORE WE TRIED THIS WE RANG SOME PEOPLE ON A FREE PHONE NUMBER THAT CLAIMED TO BE WINDOWS HELP LINE AND WE ALLOWED THEM TO REMOTELY TAKE CONTROL OF OUR COMPUTER. THEN THEY SAID THEY WANTED $109 TO FIX IT. WE MADE THE MISTAKE OF GIVING THEM OUR HOTMAIL PASSWORD. WE TOLD THEM WE WEREN'T INTERESTED IN PAYING. SO THEY DELETED OUR PASSWORD.
BE WARNED, DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.
LOOK FIRST FOR HELP ON FORUM WEBSITES.
