cant sink ipod to itunes

    When i try to sink my ipod with itunes i get a message "windows need to install driver software with your ipod" then asks me to put in the cd that came with my ipod. No cd came with ipod I've never had this problem before and had the ipod for atleast five years, please help its unusuable without this update

    That's odd.

    Try downloading and reinstalling itunes - Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now

    You can also do a factory reset of your ipod from the iTunes software and resync it after it's been restored.

    Thanks. Will I lose my music if I reinstall itunes?

    No, you should not lose your music when reinstalling iTunes.

    Just in case it doesn't hurt to make a backup before you start! :)
