can't decrypt or verify PGP emails from different provider

Hello,

I don't know if this is already known or not, so I just throw it out here.
I have seen Signatures and it states that other providers are not supported yet. But this article is from April 2015, we're 1,5 years further... Do you still not support PGP messages from different providers?

In my account I have created a contact, and added the contacts public PGP key in that entry. The system shows the right key in combination with the right email address, and I don't see any errors.
Still the system is not able to decrypt and verify an encrypted and signed message from that contact. When I click the button, nothing is happening, but I can see that the button has actually been clicked on. Is this normal or some kind of bug?

I've been using Windows 10 with Thunderbird+Enigmail, and Debian 8 with Iceweasel+Enigmail. Same problem with both OS.

I'm hoping for a reply. Thanks.
