Why aren't contacts created automatically?

When I send an email to a specific address Scryptmail doesn't remember the address. It used to before the update but it doesn't now. It doesn't auto create contacts for email addresses I've sent things to and it doesn't otherwise remember any of the previous addresses I've used.

Initial tests indicate that it is now auto creating contacts. However, PINs still aren't getting saved. I have to retype the PIN each time I use it for a particular contact unless I open up the address book and add the PIN to the contact there and then hit save.
