I posted about this on FB and the Queen suggested I post here.
Has anyone seen an uptick in spam false positives on Gmail? The past week I've gone from maybe 10 per month to 10 in one day.
Don't laugh, but I often email myself reminders and links from the Outlook app on my phone. It's never marked two of them as spam yet I found one in my spam folder yesterday. The funny thing is I pretty much only email my Gmail account from that Outlook account and they're opened in Gmail 100% of the time. Frequent sender with 100% open rate should never go to spam.
When I started reading this I thought you mean more spam was going to your inbox, but it sounds like you have the reverse problem and good mail is going to your Spam folder?
This gets me into some of the same questions as your pop fetching thread.
Can you post the full headers of one of the emails that incorrectly went to the spam folder?

I just cleaned it out I'll post a header false positive will next time one come through.
This morning I was pretty P.O.ed to see my DJ forum's (ourdjtalk.com) notices (replies, PMs, etc) going to spam. I don't know if it's only happening to me or other Gmailer's too. I did just move it to a new VPS instance (with a new IP) it could be an IP rep issue.
Thanks Ray. I'm not sure why the old IP was included in the record. The proper IP is 216.158.67.195. I use Cloudflare and upload the cPanel zone files to take care of all that.
I edited the MX record to this:
Code:
v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:216.158.67.195 ?all
Oddly enough I haven't had any false positives the past few days.
