I thought it would be interesting to break down the types of spam received at all of my free email accounts. Surprisingly when taking a look at my Yahoo Mail spam folder I only have 1 spam in it from the last week. Yahoo Mail is deleting any spam from my spam folder that is older than a week. This is a major improvement from past years when my spam folder and inbox were full of spam. I should mention that I stopped using the account several years ago but it is still active as my Yahoo IM account and people do occasionally send an email to it. I am also good about not posting email addresses on public web pages. Anyway, here are the full email headers from the spam in my Yahoo spam folder:
Source IP address: 58.76.153.220
Source Country: KR
Source ISP / Company: LG DACOM Corporation
Type of spam: Pill Spam
I will follow up soon with more free accounts including my Gmail and Hotmail accounts in the Email Articles section.
