Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)
Troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure Outlook Express and POP3 are allowed in your firewall
- Restart Outlook Express
- Restart your computer
- Disable email scanning in your anti-virus program
- Call your ISP to see if there is a problem with their mail servers
- Delete and recreate the email account in Outlook Express
- Do a system restore to a point before the problem started
- Try a different email program such as Mozilla Thunderbird
