Outlook Express - Can Not Recieve Email - Error Message: 0x800C0133

I use Outlook Express. I can send, but not receive. I have deleted the 15 million emails that had never been deleted, but still can not receive. I have been told I have a corrupted Inbox file. Something about the Inbox.dbx, but I don't know or how to correct this error.

Hi ,

It may be possible to fix the problem using these steps :

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click "Local Folders" in the left side navigation
3. Select New Folder and name it TEMP
4. If possible move all of the email from your Inbox to the TEMP folder
5. Go to menu bar and select Tools -> Options -> Maintenance -> Store Folder and then write down the location of your inbox
6. Close Outlook Express,
7. Use My Computer to go to the location is step 5 and then delete the file inbox.dbx
8. Open Outlook Express - The Inbox folder should be auto recreated.
9. Move your email from the TEMP folder back to your Inbox

Send or recieve any messages is just because of oversize file or may be damage file. 15 million emails you have deleted but have you emptied your deleted emails folder as all the deleted data saved in it and it means no size reduction. So try above shared steps by Marshal otherwise try some paid solution for that.
