Same shit here, I have 2 accounts, cant log in, it says "password is wrong"
Yep that's what it saying here as well. I stupidly thought that this would be the end of the problems and so didn't move my address book over to another non safe mail account so am so annoyed at safe mail and myself. This is beyond a joke. If safe mail ever comes back up I am moving that address book immediately as I cannot use a system that works at times only

I have never in my life seen a password reset tool that accepts the new password with successful Q&A submission. I wonder how many weak and/or "researched on social media" accounts are getting hacked?

I think they did one of three things:
  • Jacked their database
  • Had a hard time moving special characters
  • Moved to something new where many of the old passwords were not compatible with some new system
PS: This comment is related to the password reset tool and recent issues, not about the passwords not working today.

I've been logging in with no problems since the site came back on Nov 24th,
hopefully it'll be sorted out quickly but this really doesn't bode well :(

I called and spoke to Amiram (owner of Safe-mail). He tried installing POP/IMAP support and thought it would take 15 minutes.
He was wrong. He hopes the service should return in 2 hours.

In August the same "user name or password is incorrect!" problem had appeared but it was fixed in 24 hours.

have started banging my head on the ground as this is getting worse by the minute or is that 15 minutes or maybe two hours or possibly a week . Is safe mail extending our 12 months that we paid for to 13 months as why pay for the time its not been up?

sounds of hysterical laughter at this at this statement as it hasn't happened. Off to watch Back to the Future 2 as its more realistic than that statement plus it has a DeLorean DMC-12 (made in Belfast, Northern Ireland) in it. Did you know that a fibreglass DeLorean was made for the scenes where it "flys". Now that is a bit more realistic than safe mails back in two hours hope

finally safe mail is back and I have very quickly copied my address book to another email address before this happens again. Starting to be very unhappy with safe mail after nearly 6 years using it

Yes, they should extend paid subscribers services for a few months. Unfortunately, they probably
taken a script from the us gov. Hope I'm wrong.


Definitely have a back-up email somewhere else. Already tried ddw-mail, Invmail, Tutanota, Ghost Mail,
Scrypt Mail, VFE Mail & Shtrudel. Still searching for one that doesn't remind me of Gmail (Yandex does).

I like junk food too! :)

I am already very tired of this email... everyday something is broken

I have about 20 premium accounts there and one business account. I paid alot of money for this. I paid to make business and have "safe" mail. But cant make business and its not safe anymore.

Today we are not able to send any email... we are receiving all emails, but cant send any. I tried to send to many domains like gmail.com, yandex, yahoo etc... cant send email from premium and business account. I also tried to send from my business account to my premium account and there is alert "Unauthorized recipient"

when i sent email to support i got "MAILER DAEMON - email doesnt exist"

this situation is too long... why in all other free email services everything is working fine, but not here?
its really so hard to fix simple thing??? or there are working some retards???
this is only email i seen in my life that was so bugged, and i tested alot of emails

if this situation wont stop this week, we wont buy anymore here and we move to other email provider because it seems like they just dont care about their customers who is paying money, or they are too stupid to fix it??? i dont believe its so hard to configure email

we only use it because it has autoresponder... at vfemail autoresponder is broken. So... maybe mailchimp?

is anyone able to send emails today? when i am sendint i just see status "sent" but email never comes to recipient..... like SMTP is broken

support is dead... i also tried write to "billing" and "abuse" but they also arent responding...... someone knows whats going on?????????????????

Moving from Safe Mail to MailChimp seems like an odd choice to me since MailChimp is an email marketing service. What features do you require from an email service provider?

most i need privacy like was on safe-mail.net (till some time) because i have online casinos etc. , but marketing is good thing too...

i also need good autoresponder with HTML editor like was on Safe-mail.net and it is also on Mailchimp...

havent found any good alternative yet

I am having no problems with either sending or receiving emails. Sent one a very short time ago to a yahoo email address and asked for a confirmation that it was received and got an email right back saying yes. And I am still getting my full compliment of spam emails so all is working for me.

Yep, "everyday something is broken" *is* the current service.

For me, pop3 didn't work after the service 'resumption' on 24th Nov.

So I sent an email defining the problem to Support. &Then it worked for ~6hr. I guess they maybe flipped a switch..

Then it stopped for 2days. So sent another to Support.

No response at all , & pop3 still doesn't work even now (a week later).

They've had a month downtime to get it right.. and *still* no reliability.

It's all a bit amateur.
