Who is your email service provider and how do you read your email?
Do you already have access to the saved mail in a mail folder or backup?
Is this question for your email account or an account owned by someone else?
If this is email within a free email service provider or ISP account and you need old email restored you options maybe very limited, and possibly impossible.
