Problem with getting email from abroad

I can send email to people in the U.S., however, when they send an email to me, I am not able to receive it. Can you tell me why and help out with that?

Do they get any error or bounce message?

Do you or your contacts have error messages or emails from each other that were filtered to your spam folders?

If they email you at an alternate email address can you receive the email?
