In 2015 Pobox was acquired by Fastmail. From way back Pobox provides email forwarding, filtering, spam protection and domains services. The webmail interface in the Mailstore tier was replaced by the Fastmail interface including calendar, contacts and files. Mailstore (50 GB) is is comparable with Fastmail's standard plan (30 GB). Both cost $50 /year.
In 2016 the infrastructure of Pobox was consolidated with FastMail's own in New York. Pobox's office is still in Philadelphia. Fastmail is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia.
