pc and iPad

I am able to receive and reply to emails on my iPad but can only receive them on my pc. I cannot reply/forward them. I use Hotmail.

This problem arose on 5 Aug. I can only guess that I have done something to cause the problem. I confess that I am not fully computer literate.

Help to solve the problem would be much appreciated .

Are you using the hotmail.com web site to send from Hotmail on your PC or a mail program such as Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird using the hotmail.com smtp server settings?

I am using Hotmail.com.
This morning the system is working again! Seems odd but there it is.
