Outlook Express to mail photos

I have always used Outlook Express as my email provider, and it was always a simple process to send photos attached to my emails.

For some reason now, when I want to send a photo, the computer goes to Microsoft Outlook, so consequently the photos go nowhere or into cyberspace.

No matter what I try, I cannot fix this problem.

I have tried going to Tools, Options, Set default, etc, but nothing works.
