Outlook Account

Hi I hope someone can help me.

I have an old NTLWorld account via Outlook that i wish to delete completely. I am signed up to Virgin Media and was receiving e-mails through this account.

However I have now created a new Virgin Media account that i use permanently.

I went into Outlook and deleted the NTL account in settings however the account is still receiving e-mails in Virgin Media. How do i stop this ?
