Hi, I'm trying to access an old hotmail account I used to use years ago. I know the email address but despite desperate attempts I just can't remember the password. I've tried to do the recovery questionnaire thing but I couldn't provide enough information as the account is so old. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could get this password back? I really need to access it as I'm trying to access old msn messages and emails from a friend that passed away when we were both teenagers, it's coming up to an important anniversary. Thank you

Which email service was the account with and when was the account last accessed?
If you went over a year without logging into a free email service account most likely it has been deactivated and possibly the email address could belong to someone else now.
If you try sending an email to the address do you get back a bounce message?
