no new emails

I am using Thunderbird and as of 4:42 3/1 I have not received any new emails. I get the same email and picture sent to me at 4:42 over and over again, the Q shows 22 email in in it and none will download.
Had AVG A/V that pushed and up date down and screwed up my browser. I have deleted AVG and on luck getting new emails.
