Line not showing up

Intermittently, and getting to be more frequently, when my email opens that line at the top that has the Delete, Move, Spam, and More icons just doesn't appear. And at those times I can't open any of my emails. I'm logging in the same way every time, can't figure out why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What kind of client or software or web service are you using? Yahoo, hotmail, Gmail, Fastmail, Outlook web client, Outlook standalone client, etc

Sorry - forgot to mention. This is yahoo email. I'm on a Macbook Pro. And thank you for looking at my question.
