IndiMail Queue Mechanism

I have not used this myself but came across it and thought it was worth sharing:

Generally the faster your disks the faster your qmail. If instead of having 1 large set of fast disks you had several smaller mirrors on disks I suppose it's possible this could be a way to help deal with incoming loads instead or in addition to the ext-todo patch. Like I said, not a recommendation, just thought it was worth sharing.

Yes you got it right. I use it in IndiMail - IndiMail - Email Server for ALL
Using the above, I am able to get a significantly higher throughput compared to what is available with stock qmail.

The above queue mechanism can be implemented for qmail by using the following patch

The same queue mechanism is part of IndiMail server which has source download at

and Yum / RPM repository for most Linux distros at
