How to send email when out of the country

Question: When I leave the US, I am unable to send emails. I can receive them but my outgoing server is not recognized. I am using my I Phone. I am leaving for Japan in a week and would like to end email. I have been able to email from a Hotel computer but not from my phone.

Which email service do you use?

The problem sounds like your phone is not connected to the hotel wireless before trying to send the email.

What's the specific error message that you get?

The Gmail SMTP service works well when I'm on the road, and worst case, a dedicated service such as LuxSci should work if other email providers are blocked while on the road and provide consistent ability to send your emails.
