Hello,

Are your emails getting blocked when trying to send to domains hosted by Godaddy with an error message similar to this one?

72.167.238.29 failed after I sent the message.

This message has been rejected due to content judged to be spam by the internet community - IB212 <http://x.co/crbounce>

To file a report of a false positive with Godaddy you -must- do exactly the following or the abuse report will be ignored.

The original email must be sent as an attachment to abuse@godaddy.com.

If you use Microsoft Outlook go yo your Sent Items folder, double click open the email, and from the More menu select Forward as Attachment:

Outlook Forward as Attachment.jpg

Before sending you should also copy & paste the complete bounce message that you are receiving into the message body, and also include your mail server IP address and any additional relevant information such as sender score links showing a good email reputation for your SMTP server.

I am an esp and have this issue come up every so often.
We use Sender Score and our IP is consistently between 97-99

Just did exactly what you said in your post.
How long does it take for GoDaddy to acknowledge receipt of my request for a remedy and for them to actually get it fixed?

Thanks for the info by the way.

Hi Dan,

They usually respond within 24 hours.

After opening the ticket you can try getting Godaddy technical support at 1-480-505-8877 to speak with their abuse team if they are not responding with 24-48hrs.

The abuse team doesn't have a direct line, but it's possible to have technical support contact them internally while you're on the line.

:welcome:

Some additional information for anyone having trouble getting email delivered to Godaddy hosted email accounts:

Even with a great sender score in the 90's, Godaddy will begin blocking emails from an IP address that has generated only 2-3 spam complaints.

It doesn't matter if that's 2-3 complaints out of 10 or 1000 total emails within a small period of time.

This reinforces the facts:
  • Only send email to those that really want it
  • Only send email to those who have made a positive action within the past few months (read, click link)
  • Make it very easy to subscribe from newsletters so that recipients are less likely to mark your email as spam
