How to change the sound when you get a new email

To change the default sound when you receive a new email please follow these steps :

• Click the Start button, select Settings, and click Control Panel

• Double click the Sounds and Sounds Devices icon, then click the Sounds tab in the window that appears

​

• Scroll down to New Mail Notification and choose a new sound from the menu below

​

• After selecting the new sound click Apply and then OK

If you have a free webmail such as Gmail you may need to install a program such as Gmail Notifier too.
