The Microsoft live team recently announced that people using Hotmail as their primary email account will notice that javascript is being allowed to run within the email from some outside web sites including Orbitz and Monster. Additional web sites will soon be partnering with Hotmail and also be given permission to run javascript within their emails to Hotmail users. Hotmail believes they have addressed any security issues by running the code in a sandbox of sorts that should protect both your computer and Hotmail from possible malicious code in emails. It's not clear yet if Hotmail users will have the ability to turn off this functionality.
