Help with deleting emails

How do I delete many emails from my in box . I have been deleting one at a time. This is exhausting! Thanks Patti l am on a iphone6sp

Many webmail services have a checkbox near the top left of the inbox or a filtering feature that allow for selections lots of emails at once. How are you reading your email?
