fastmail.fm expire

How long can my Fastmail.fm account be inactive before it expires?

Non-paying accounts are closed after 45 days of inactivity, whilst one-time fee accounts are closed after 120 days of inactivity.

On the other hand, every account stops working when the domain expires!

I called up dot.fm (BRS Media) to try and pay the bill for FastMail, but their customer service is not available right now.
