Emails with future send date in Outbox wont send if Outlook not open

New Email
I just got a new laptop and my Outlook has changed. Before, I was able to type up an email, go under Options and do the "do not deliver before" and put in a future date, then hit send.
It sits in my Outbox and sends when it is supposed to. Great.

Now, however...I do the same thing, but when I close Outlook, I get this message (see attachment)...so, now if I am not actually IN Outlook, the email won't be sent.

I don't know how or where to change this--and it's driving me crazy. Can someone please help? (using Outlook 2007)

THANKS!

Hello,

In your Outlook 2007 :

  • Go to the Tools menu and select Options
  • Click the Mail Setup tab
  • Click the Send/Receive button
  • Uncheck the Perform an automatic send/receive when exiting
Did you have that checked / did that fix the problem for you?

Hi! Thank you so much for the response...however, I did that--and the "Perform automatic..." already was unchecked. =(
Any other ideas?

Thanks!
