email account renamed in error help

I was prompted to create a new email address for my xbox account but when I was done I was informed it was just changing my current accounts name.
I received an email stating if you do not want this go to https://account.live.com/ to change the account name back.
However when ever I try it will not allow me to fix this.
I need this account to be renamed ASAP its my main account for emails.
Can someone help me correct this mistake?

Hello,

You may have created a second account, or an account alias, but it's not possible to rename a Microsoft service based email account.

What are you trying to do? Get access to the original account?

What prompted you to rename your account? An email?
