Hello,

Do you know if there are two copies coming down from the mail server or if your computer is duplicating them?

Do you have an email virus scanner that is causing timeouts and duplicate downloads?

Can you post the full email headers from two of the duplicates?

Hello,

Try turning off your anti-virus before downloading the next batch of emails.

Does that fix the problem or at least point us in the right direction? don't forget to turn it back on!

Is it possible that you have created some messaging rules or filters that are creating duplicate copies of the emails within your email client?

I went into the options section for email and unchecked the box that turns on a feature to "check this account and synchronize". That solved the problem. I had assumed that if the box was not checked that I'd have to manually request it to check the hotmail account each time. That's not the case. So I have no idea what's not getting done now, but at least I'm not getting two copies of every hotmail message.
