Domain hitting the junk folder / Spam folder but we don't spam!

New Email
Hi there

Can you help me unravel a riddle?
Our emails from the domain @haynesandcompany.com keep getting routed into people's Spam folders.
Regular emails - no newsletters, etc.

We don't spam, and we are certain that others have not gotten ahold of the domain and done so without out knowledge.

How do we fix this?
It directly affects our business development efforts, as prospects and customers don't get our emails!

Thanks,
Elizabeth:confused:

Hi Elizabeth,

I received the example. Are you a Google Apps user? It looks like you are using Google to send at least some of your email, but their SPF info is not included in your published SPF record.

Your current SPF record is :

haynesandcompany.com. 3600 IN TXT "v=spf1 ip4:216.254.0.0/24 ip4:69.17.110.0/24 ip4:69.17.116.0/24 ip4:69.17.117.0/24 ip4:207.145.128.240/28 ip4:209.80.12.228 mx " "ptr ~all"

Add this to the SPF (TXT) record in your DNS:

include:_spf.google.com

You may also need to fix the double quotes between mx and ptr in the existing record.

:welcome: to Email Questions!

Yes, we absolutely use Google Apps for our email.
I had no idea that when we changed providers, the rest of the technicalities like this didn't move over as well.

I will endeavor to take care of this quickly, and, once I do, I'm sure it will be fixed.

Thank you for the help!
AWEsome!
