Creating Custom Email Address

I have a gmail account "me@gamil.com" and my own domain name "me@mydomain.co.uk" which I want to use as both send and recieve addresses on my gmail account. Specifically I want to stop gmail's sent items showing as from me@mydomain.co.ul>me@gmail.com

Any help would be appreciated
