Counting emails in my Hotmail account

Is there anybody out there who can show me a way to automatically count the number of emails I have in each of my folders and the total number of emails in all folders.

This feature used to be available before Hotmail was upgraded.

Any help much appreciated.

I don't see a way to enable this feature in Outlook.com

If it's important to you then it may be worth considering using an email client on your computer to access your email.

Thanks for replying.

If I click to select all the files in a folder it will tell me the number but only if it is less than one hundred.
If there are several hundred emails in a folder then it doesn't say anything.

Have never heard of an email client before now, but will look into it.

Yes, there are many email clients. Some poplar choices are Windows Live Mail and Mozilla Thunderbird. An example that many have at work is Microsoft Outlook.
