Changing B/band providers & access to old emails.

I will change my broadband provider, from TalkTalk to Sky, on Monday 6th October. How can I retain all my old emails?
I have been told that, when I leave TalkTalk I will no longer be able to access either my old emails nor, any new emails that arrive after I leave.
I am very concerned about this because, many of my old emails have important information. Thank you, Toby.

Hi Toby,

If you use a mail program on your computer, you can download the emails with POP3 or copy them from IMAP folders to local folders, allowing you to have a copy of the emails on your computer after you lose access to the TalkTalk email account.
